Shoo Loong Kan, the renowned Chongqing hotpot chain, has opened its latest location at 400 N. Greenville Ave., Ste 16, Richardson, TX 75081. Representing the tenant side in the lease deal was Cecilia Hampton of Hampton International Group, adding yet another feather to her cap in securing prime locations for high-profile businesses.
Shoo Loong Kan, which translates to “Little Dragon Ridge,” derives its name from a mountainous area in the Shapingba district of Chongqing, known for its dragon-like landscape. The traditional Chongqing hotpot, originating nearly a century ago in this region, inspired the restaurant’s name, later evolving into “Chongqing Xiao Long Kan Hotpot.”
Since its establishment in 2014 in Sichuan, Shoo Loong Kan has grown exponentially, starting with just a few tables. By 2017, the brand expanded internationally and reached an impressive milestone of 1,000 outlets globally by 2020. Now, with its new Richardson location, Shoo Loong Kan is poised to bring the authentic taste of Chongqing hotpot to North Texas.
